Dr. Cuomo is a physician, author, philanthropist, advocate, and blogger on health issues, especially those related to cancer prevention. She graduated summa cum laude from St. John’s University and received an M.D. degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She served as an attending physician in diagnostic radiology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset specializing in diagnostic radiology and dedicated much of her time and energy to the diagnosis of cancer and AIDS using state-of-the art CT scans, Ultrasound examinations, and MRI. Dr. Cuomo also provided academic instruction to medical students at New York University Hospital and Cornell University Medical College, and has published numerous articles in medical journals.

Dr. Cuomo is the author of A World Without Cancer, a book that offers compelling information on how to reduce cancer risk.

Dr. Cuomo has been interviewed on many TV shows, such as Good Morning America, Morning Joe, Fox News, and also radio programs, and has been featured in many magazines, newspapers and online sites. She is a contributor to the Huffington Post and WebMD, and is a board member and director of medical and scientific content for the Next Generation Choices Foundation – Lesscancer – a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. She advocates nationally for the prevention of cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
